October 25 - Rainy Day in Cork

Well, the leaves are falling off the trees across the street from us, so we know fall has moved in. If only the rain would go away for a few days - or visit Athens which is in desperate need! We tried going to the Cork Jazz Festival (the largest in Europe!) on Saturday, but the rain made things miserable... It was a good, solid rain - not just the normal spitting we have gotten used to since arriving here.
We spent the afternoon inside, drawing on Adaline's pumpkin and having a "McCullick Dance Party" with the help of Bryan's iPod. :) Bryan can pay me later for not posting the pictures of his dance moves. Ha!
Adaline loved drawing her pumpkin's face - so next year, carving will no doubt be a hit! Bryan wanted to try it here, but I don't trust any of the knives we have in our kitchen...

Saturday evening, Bryan and I went out on a date - we actually had a student, Maebh (pronounced Maeve) babysit. We ate a wonderful Italian restaurant that was chock full of real Italians working there! It was one of the best meals we've had since getting here, but we can't decide if it was the food or the fact that we could have an uninterrupted conversation. Ha!
