Harbor Town

Bryan and I have waited almost 365 days to bring Adaline back to Harbor Town for her to learn about Gregg Russell - and here are some pictures from the evening. These are on Gregg Russell's stage.

Here we are waiting for Gregg Russell to perform. He does children's songs, and I grew up attending his shows - so it was particularly special for me - although Bryan might possibly be a bigger fan than me. :) Adaline made it for about 30 minutes into the show, and then she was ready to go - it was way past her bedtime...
These pictures are from the Gregg Russell playground - these pictures were taken before dinner when we were killing time.

There was a hard rain this afternoon, hence the river running through the playground!

Jumping into the pool!

Here is little missy jumping to Bryan - she continues to amaze us!

Swimming in the pool

Here is some fun footage of little missy practicing her swimming with Bryan. She has been so good this week... Miss Karen must be proud!

Ladies Lunching

Adaline and Elizabeth were having a good time at the end of year party - and I thought this was pretty cute. They are leaning in and making chewing sounds... :)

End of the "Young Toddlers!"

Well, Adaline is officially an "Older Toddler" as of yesterday at 5:30 pm... As Bryan said, "she's growing up!" The "Young Toddler" end of the year party was Tuesday, and as these pictures show, there was lots of sugar to be eaten! Sharon always wants to know which child is which, so I tried to get pictures of everyone who was willing to look at the camera...
Caroline, Adaline, and Elizabeth
Jack and Wyatt - hamming it up for the camera
Will, Grier, and Irina (Grier's sister is in between...)
Adaline's new heart throb, Garrett - apparently there has been a little huggy-huggy and kissy-kissy between these two!
Elizabeth and Adaline - and no, we don't know why Adaline is smiling with her mouth crooked like that...
Britton enjoying his ice cream
Irina with her sister
Will and his brother Carson - Garrett is in the background seemingly offering a french toast stick to Carson...
Adaline playing hide and seek in the bathroom after washing her hands.
The big story of the day was that she took no nap - and the night before she was up until 9 pm - all because she was so excited about "the party!" I'm afraid Christmas Eve might be a very late night this year... ;)

Pictures from church

I know, I know - I have waited a long time to upload pictures. The good news is that I have been busy at work, thus preventing regular uploading of pictures... :)

Bryan, Adaline and I recently had our pictures taken for the church directory. While they cost a bit more than we wanted to spend, the best deal was getting the CD with all the pictures on it - I loved looking back over them this morning. Here are some of my favorites - and if you want copies, I can make them without fear of getting arrested! :)

Ring around the Rosies

Adaline has been learning songs - and this is one of my favorites. When she is trying to kill time before bedtime, she will sing this to me - and she knows I'm a sucker for it!

AthFest 2008

One of our favorite activities of all time in Athens is the yearly AthFest - and this year was no different. It was a little drizzly Saturday morning when we went, which actually made summer in Athens not seem so hot. Adaline wanted to play on all the jumpy things - but as you can see, she chickened out and Daddy had to help her out...
We ate lunch at Clocked, which may be our new favorite hamburger joint. You can see that Adaline enjoyed it too!
There is a flower garden adjacent to Clocked, so Adaline had a safe place to run around while we waited to pay the bill. You know, all the healthy eating magazines talk about eating slowly and savoring your meal in order to lose weight - but how do you do that when you have a toddler?? I now eat lunch or dinner in under 10 minutes...
This is Adaline showing how her shirt swings when she dances. She enjoyed "Jim and the Beanstalks" immensely - as you can tell...
All in all, we loved hanging out as a family and listening to some fun music. Next year, though, we might get a babysitter - there are only so many kids songs a person can take in for one day. :) We may need to go back at night for some music we prefer!
