Water Play

I have been so very behind in updating the website - I apologize! These pictures are from two weeks ago, I think. Adaline and her classmates had fun playing in some sprinklers - none of them wanted to leave!
Irina, Adaline and Dain - getting wood ships out from inside their crocs. :)
Adaline is really going to miss Dain... Her last day is this Friday, and then she is moving to Arizona. I know that six months from now, Adaline will have a new best friend - but Dain was her first best friend, so it seems particularly sad for Mommy to see her leave. :) Reminds me of when my best friend, Dede, moved to North Carolina... Oh well. Life goes on - and there is plenty of fun to be had!

Doing Mommy's hair

Adaline has suddenly learned that she likes doing Mommy's hair. It is very sweet, and she always promises that she will be gentle.

Happy Flag Day!

Last weekend was Mommy's birthday - and Adaline helped celebrate! She loved singing happy birthday to almost anyone (not just mommy!) and couldn't wait to eat cupcakes and ice cream cake. I warned Mom that we better make cupcakes because Adaline had been talking about it all week. Here are the fun pictures from the cupcake decorating experience...
Mimi, Adaline, and Auntie Nona (aka Sharon) were quite a team while decorating. Truth be told - Adaline ate most of the icing that ended up on her spreader. She would stick it in the icing, and then stick it in her mouth and only occassionally spread it on the cupcakes. But it was cute. :)
We got a kick out of this picture. I pride myself on being a quick shot with the camera - but even I didn't realize how cute this would turn out. She is being silly and looking at her eyelashes. :)

Happy Birthday to Mommy...

Adaline's mommy turned 35 last Saturday, and the highlight of the day was hearing Adaline sing Happy Birthday! Enjoy.

A shortie but a goodie...

This is a new Adaline dance - it is short, but cute! :) This wouldn't be a good audition tape for the Furman Dance team, but she's getting there!
