Another funny voice...

Here is Adaline doing another funny voice...

A-men!

Well, I don't know how to flip this video from its side to top-bottom (if you know how, please let me know!) - but this is Adaline watching a video Auntie Sharon gave her. At the end of this quick video, Adaline puts her little hands together and says "A-men!" Too cute! Sorry you have to turn your head to the side to see it...

Bloomin' Lollipops!

Oh my goodness! Our jellybeans bloomed! Apparently the economic downturn hindered the bunny rabbit's ability to find "fancy" lollipops, but Adaline didn't seem to notice the difference. She loved finding the blooming lollipops Easter morning before church...

Easter egg hunt at the Orbock's

Adaline was invited to an Easter Egg Hunt at her friend Caroline's home the Saturday before Easter - and she had so much fun! Here she is decorating a hard-boiled Easter egg.
On the move! There were lots and lots of eggs to be found - and Adaline apparently had her eyes on another egg since she is running past four in this picture... :)
Where did that silly bunny hide more eggs???
Just before Adaline opened an egg with melted chocolate in it...

This is how we looked for Easter eggs! Did you know the Easter bunny sometimes hid eggs IN the trees! Wow...
Adaline and Caroline resting on Caroline's mommy's lap - what a fun afternoon!

Planting jelly beans!

Many thanks to the Lux family for this great idea! On Sunday we planted jelly beans. What you may not know is that when you plant jelly beans, they bloom on Easter morning - and grow into lollipops! Wow! We can't wait to see our jelly beans blooming this Sunday (which reminds me, I need to go buy some lollipops quick!)...

JLA Easter Egg Hunt

The Junior League of Athens hosted an Easter Egg hunt for members' kids this year - and Adaline had a great time! Could it have been the tray of cookies she spotted when we walked up? Perhaps...
I would be a little scared of this Easter bunny too - needless to say, Adaline would only wave good-bye to him from a distance...
There was a separate spot for kids in Adaline's age bracket - next year she will have to battle the big kids!

The highlight was jumping in the bouncy thing - Daddy taught her how to bounce, and then she was off! I was afraid she would cry when we left, but she bounced herself out and was so tired, she didn't seem to realize we were leaving! All in all, it was a highlight of the Easter season for little missy...

Fishies!

Adaline's school was closed last Friday, so Bryan and I took the morning off with her, and we all went to the Georgia Aquarium! It was wonderful for all three of us.
This was Mommy's favorite - the beluga whales were such fun to watch. Adaline, however, wanted "more fishies!"
We, of course, gave in and found more fishies. I think she is actually pointing at the man who was cleaning out the inside of a huge fishtank. Amazing to watch!
What a great family day - while Adaline pooped out after only an hour and a half, I think it will be a day we will all remember for many weeks to come!

Balance Beam

Ever since attending her first gymnastics meet, Adaline has delighted us with her "balance beam" routines. In a creative moment, I got out a long piece of string, and we made our own "balance beam" for her to walk on. These pictures are of her routine...

Opening an Early Easter Gift

Auntie Sharon sent Adaline an early East gift (including an Alabama dress!), and these are the pictures of Adaline opening her gifts. Her first statement was "oh, wow!" :) Very cute. She has already watched her new Boz video at least four times in two days - I think she likes it.

She really loves opening the easter eggs and seeing what is inside them. The good news is that she has been very good about cleaning up the eggs after finishing up with them. Adaline is actually a very good cleaner-upper - much better than her mommy... :)

Learning the Chicken Dance

Mimi got Adaline a chicken at Hallmark that sings the chicken dance song. To put it mildly, Adaline LOVES the chicken dance! Mommy and Daddy are not sure about listening to the song day in and day out - so Adaline gets to play with it on her way to school in Daddy's car. :) Poor Daddy...

Gymnastics meet

Over the weekend, Adaline took Daddy, Mommy, and Poppa to the gymnastics meet on campus. These are cell phone pictures, hence the lack of clarity - but thought you might like to see them...

Popcorn

We had quite a fun experience last weekend - popping popcorn the old fashioned way (well, old fashioned for those of us growing up in the 70's and 80's with Jiffy Pop). Adaline loved watching the popcorn bag expand - and especially loved getting to eat the popcorn after it was done popping. :) Fun, fun.

And, for the record, her dad bought her the St. Patrick's Day hat she is wearing... :)
The first video below is of Adaline attempting to "throw" popcorn into her mouth like her daddy... Ha! Ha! The second one lets you hear how Adaline pronounces "popcorn" - it makes Bryan laugh out loud whenever she says it.

Hodgson's Pharmacy

What is a day at the park without ice cream??? We broke all of Mommy's healthy eating rules and went for ice cream at Hodgson's Pharmacy BEFORE lunch last Saturday! We sat outside to eat and watched the cars go down Milledge Avenue. Adaline loved seeing everyone and would wave to people as they sped by.

We were amazed when an ambulance went by - Adaline asked "Is somebody hurt?" She must be brilliant! :)

A Day at the Park

Adaline does not like to sit still, so Bryan and I are thrilled that WOW Playground exists. We went last Saturday, and Adaline ran herself out. It was wonderful.

Adaline has become quite confident in her athletic ability, and without encouragement, she decided she wanted to walk across this balancing rope. As you can see, she was quite successful!

One of her favorite things to do at the park is go sliding. There are lots of slides at WOW, but she seems to prefer this one.

Valentines Day

Grammy (aka RaRa) made Adaline a scarf for Valentines Day - and it is tough for us to keep it clean because Adaline wants to wear it everywhere! :) Here she is wearing it at the dinner table...

Cooking for Gramps!

During Gramps visit, Adaline helped make dinner one evening - a big bowl of chili! She enjoys helping out with any project around the house, and she once again proved to be a very helpful assistant.

Gramps visits!

We were happy to have Gramps visit a few weeks ago. Adaline, of course, having someone around that never says no... :) Whatever fun she wanted to have, Gramps was a ready friend. She is already looking forward to his next visit!
