Fun at School

Yes, that is Adaline in the back corner with three little boys surrounding her. :) I laughed when I saw this picture because the two other faces you see are her favorite boys to talk about - Britton and Will. It is cute to see that they really do all hang out together!

Adaline is talking so much these days. We are occassionally asked what new words she knows, but it is impossible to keep up with them all. She must come home with about 4 or 5 new words a day! Bryan and I are continually amazed at what she says to us.

We are working hard on "please" - she is slowly getting the hang of it. She still hasn't verbally said "thank you" but she signs it when asked. She has a new routine - in the mornings, Bryan puts on her sunscreen (per school requirement...) and Adaline eats half a banana. We have been working on saying "ba-nan-a" - and she says "ba-nan-nut!" Too cute.

She is trying to get a new routine of watching a video when she comes home from school, but Bryan and I are trying to stop that habit! She may win out, though. :) Right now, she loves to watch "Elmo Uses the Potty" - we keep hoping the video will be the magic that causes her to use the potty one day soon. :)

Happy Labor Day!

Our "Young Toddler"

Well, I have not been good lately about blogging, but it has been a busy end of the summer! Adaline was out of school for two weeks, as most of you know, and she kept the whole family very busy! She is now enrolled in the Young Toddlers room and is adjusting nicely.

These pictures are from Grammy's visit - she was a great help during Adaline's last few days home. This first picture is Adaline walking around in Daddy's shoes - she loves to wear our fashionable footwear! :)
We encourage Adaline to make funny faces, I'm afraid - this is her imitating someone who is surprised!

We went out for an Italian meal, and Adaline loved the caesar salad, if you can believe that! She had no interest whatsoever in what we ordered her, but she ate half of Aunt Mary's salad...

Adaline's love of "bookies" continues to grow - it is becoming quite an obsession, actually. She doesn't want to take a bath anymore - she wants to bypass baths for more time with books in the evenings.

She still loves to "smile" for the camera. We laugh, so I think we only encourage this goofy face - but at least this smile doesn't look like she's in pain. She continues to be a happy little girl.
