Call it a Christmas miracle, but I am updating the blog with some pictures from our first snow in 2011. Since it has been a long time since blogging, I forgot how to upload pictures in the right order - so some of these are backwards. Oh well. :)
Adaline wanted to make a snow princess, so that's what we did. The snow wasn't great for making a snowman, so I think we did a pretty good job! :)
We have birdseed bells in our front tree, and our yard was full of happy birds throughout the day. People walking by would stop and point at the beautiful redbirds eating our seed.
Adaline said it was too cold to do a snow angel - but Daddy should make one. :) He made a best-ever snow angel.
We received approximately 7 inches overnight. The snow started around 9:00 pm and snowed throughout the night. I woke up early because I was so excited to see the snow - and it didn't disappoint!

Ballet 2009-2010
I have been trying for two days to upload video I have from Adaline's ballet performance with NO luck, so I have momentarily given up and will just post the darling pictures. This is from Adaline's final ballet class of 2009-2010. Since her dreams of becoming a cheerleader when she grows up have become more verbalized, we are switching from ballet to gymnastics in the fall... So while Mommy is disappointed, Adaline is quite excited to begin preparing for her career as a professional cheerleader.
Enjoy these final ballet pictures! :)
Enjoy these final ballet pictures! :)
Yes, Adaline is tall. :) I was tallest in my class until the fifth grade - and then everyone shot up around me...

Christmas choir part 1
I will admit that my Type A personality has been a bit tested with choir, but seeing Adaline walk down the aisle in her choir robe warmed my heart. If I am able to upload a few of the videos, you will no doubt get a kick out of the kids and their lack of interest in singing - but aren't they darn cute?! :)

Princess Party Part 1
I realize I have not been a good poster on Adaline's blog lately, but I knew the grandparents would start to complain if I didn't post birthday pictures soon! :)
Adaline decided she wanted to have a Princess Party for her fourth birthday, and we had such fun listening to her describe what she wanted. I don't know if we ultimately did all she planned in her mind, but she seemed to have a grand time! We had all sorts of outdoor games planned, but the weather report called for rain - so the day before the party, I made all sorts of changes to the event so it could be moved inside. The good news is that there was no rain - and everyone still seemed to have fun inside.
Here are the pictures from the arrival time at the party...
The girls had a chance to get their nails painted by Auntie Mary and Mimi. If they were particularly girly, they also had the chance to get glitter on their cheeks!

Princesses Amari, Adaline and Elizabeth
Two of Adaline's all-time favorite people, Ms. Cori and Ms. Erin, were kind enough to come and help out with the festivities. It was such a blessing to have them there to help keep the kids excited! Here Ms. Cori is helping Caroline decorate her princess hat.
Princess Parade
Well, the princess parade fell apart while I was videotaping - but here is what I caught. They were very cute...
